Documents and materials gathered by Katherine Wise Sellers during her tenure as Communications Director for the Carpet and Rug Institute and transferred to the Bandy Heritage Center when Dalton State College took possession of the Carpet and Rug Institute Headquarters building at 702 College Drive in August 2011.
Strengths in this collection include: Promotional materials from historic and recent carpet manufacturers; United States Senate testimonies and other records pertaining to the Indoor Air Quality cases and resulting program development, 1990-1995; Laundering tags for chenille bedspreads; Consumer health, care, and cleaning information for carpet products; and records from the committee to erect a monument to Catherine Evans Whitener.
