Group photograph of recruits of Troop "C," 6th Cavalry Regiment at Fort Sam Houston, San Antonio, Texas, prior to shipping out to France in February, 1918. The recruits are standing and sitting on the steps and rails of a brick building's porch. They are dressed in standard uniforms and have removed their hats. Numbers written on the chests of the troopers correspond to a roster list written on the reverse side of the photograph. |
