A wreckage of a USAAF P-47 Thunderbolt. The pilot's body is covered with a white cloth and flowers are placed near the pilot. A note written on the reverse side reads: "P-47 crack-up near our bivouac at Beaucomp France. You can see the chared body with a white towel across it. A little french girl placed this towel and the flowers there prior to the taking of this picture., Sept. 44." |
